Hung out at the legendary Pipeline and got to see some brave souls shred the gnar while I sipped some sparkling wine. Biggest waves I've ever seen. Give me enough of these and maybe I'll paddle out myself... but probably not.
Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade in Haleiwa, HI
Does it get any more Hawaiian than this? Words can't describe how amazing this trip has been already. Between the people I've met, the stunning landscape and the i n c r e d i b l e weather I'm pretty sure I'm hanging out in some sort of heaven.
Waikiki Brewing Company in Waikiki, HI
Wasn't long before I found my first brewery. AND they had a jalapeño beer. Did get scolded by the bartender for not taking a shot with him ("I thought Jersey girls could drink!"), but worth the brew and the view.
Treated myself to a fresh guava smoothie after a strenuous 1 mile hike. To be fair there were like a billion steps and my little legs can only take so much. Also, I've never seen so many pineapples in one place.
Took a little nap after a full day of traveling from NJ to HI then got up to watch my first Hawaiian sunrise. Hiked the Diamond Head crater — so busy, but worth it for the view! Also, yes, I purchased a selfie stick specifically for this trip and am still learning the logistics of how to selfie.
This was originally going to be a complaint about how I ended up in the last seat of a not-full plane (seriously this happens to me more often than not), but then I found out the seat reclined mad far back AND Hawaiian Airlines still serves meals and free beverages so now it's a happy post
Santa Monica, CA
First leg of my trip is complete! Had enough time in between flights to bop over to the beach for a bit. Definitely missed the SoCal weather but do not miss the L.A. traffic!! Next stop: HNL.
Tobias Burgers at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL
Fun fact: I've never been to Disney. So I recently went to Orlando and... Well, still didn't go to Disney. Heard it's a nice place though. Instead I got lost in this enormous hotel!
Dead End Bakehouse in Ocean City, NJ
If you need a Hump Day pick-me-up (via coffee or carbs), might I suggest Dead End Bakehouse?? Finally got to try it out after literal months of talking about it with a friend — making plans as adults is hard, okay?
Unbothered ☑️ Moisturized ☑️ In my lane ☑️ Well-hydrated ☑️ (thanks @vitaminwater) Flourishing ☑️ *** Only a week into the New Year and my first flight of the year has come and gone. Oahu next!
Camelback Mountain in Tannersville, PA
Looks like a winter wonderland but really it's been so warm here that it's all fake snow! Sorta felt like snowboarding through instant mashed potatoes but the mountain still kicked my old butt.
Pocono Pines, PA
Enjoyed a low-key New Year's Eve in the mountains with family. Also found out that when we were kids, the adults would turn the clocks forward so we'd go to sleep before midnight, but I still love them.
