Anyone who knows me knows that I sincerely dislike water. Since living off of coffee and beer isn't exactly healthy, to stay hydrated, I usually drink iced tea. Gold Peak is my favorite, and they made my summer with a generous gift box of tea and other fun stuff! Thank you so much to the Gold Peak team, cheers!
Philadelphia Orchestra at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, PA
Sat back and listened to an orchestra play while I sipped an IPA from Evil Genius. Both were pretty dope.
Boardwalk Arcade in Ocean City, NJ
A little healthy competition is good for every relationship... Right? Had a little shoobie day date at the arcade on the Ocean City boardwalk with JP where he beat me in everything except Mario Kart. Luckily, Mario Kart is the only game that actually matters
What's better than a mojito made with mint picked fresh from the garden? A homemade soaped-up slip-n-slide to make a friendly game of flip cup just a litttttttle bit more challenging. And a lot more dangerous.
Somers Point, NJ
Thought a photo next to the fire was fitting because that's exactly how my mouth felt after embarking on a hot sauce taste test. Not to toot my own horn here, but I'm pretty good with heat. However, a couple of these almost got the best of me. If you want to give it a go yourself, beware of the Tabasco Scorpion Sauce (it's a lingerer) and the Da Bomb Beyond Insanity which I could literally feel burning in my ear canals.
Charlie's Bar in Somers Point, NJ
In theory, I'd love to be vegan (okay, pescatarian). But I just love Charlie’s wings too much. Paired them with some Dogfish Head, shuffleboard (me and JP lost), and friendship.
Elks Lodge in Brigantine, NJ
What better way to spending a weekend than celebrating love? Congrats to the new Mr. And Mrs., had such a fun time at your wedding! So... Who's next?
Boogie Nights at Tropicana in Atlantic City, NJ
Had a time at Boogie Nights' 90's night and got to dance with the Bride and Groom before their wedding day! I'm not a club person at all (unless you're talking about what I drink with my vodka), but you can't really go wrong with nonstop 90's music.
The Cove in Brigantine, NJ
Made it down to the cove in Brig for Alyssa’s bachelorette beach day! I'd never been to this beach before, so we probably looked like major shoobies walking what felt like miles from the road to the water (turns out we were in the complete wrong spot) but still got some sun, sand, water, and beer.
Mamma Mia! at Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, PA
Sometime over the past year or so it became a thing for the girls in my family to see musicals. This time, we saw Mamma Mia! at "the oldest theater in the U.S." and it was so good! Got caught in a bit of rain on the way, and without umbrellas, had to improvise with our sweaters.
Tried to make it down to Longport for a beach day. On a holiday weekend. Yeah, it didn't exactly go as planned — spent far too much time looking for a parking spot. Finally got a prime space right here, but JP didn't have as much luck so we drove over to Ocean City instead, only to realize we didn't have beach tags to get onto the beach. FINALLY found a beach that we could access, though, and got some time on the sand and in the water.
