Yoga on the Field at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA
Okay, I made it to Citizen’s Bank Park but...where's the team?? Had some fun on the field for Phillies Yoga, complete with brunch and mimosas afterward.
Steve & Cookies in Margate, NJ
Date night! JP and I are usually the "pizza takeout and Netflix" type of couple but it's nice to splurge a little sometimes (obviously I didn't splurge on a manicure).
Weymouth River tubing in Mays Landing, NJ
We finally got our annual tubing sesh in. Usually by the time we get back on land someone is bleeding, another person is crying, and at least one phone found its final resting place at the bottom of the river. But this year, everyone survived – is this growing up?
Dockside Kitchen in Ocean City, NJ
Breakfast is the best meal of the day, especially when you get to eat it while sitting right on the water with a fricken delicious iced mocha. The little boy at the table next to me ate his flower garnish but I stuck to the blueberry pancakes.
Celebrity Corner in Atlantic City, NJ
Took a bike ride down the boardwalk and made the obligatory stop at Celebrity Corner. This used to be a little hole in the wall with questionable health standards, but a $10 double vodka lemonade made with fresh-squeezed lemons worth ignoring your surroundings for. Apparently they did some renovations over the past couple of years and really spruced the place up (and switched out the fresh lemonade for Minutemaid but what can ya do).
Sirens Bar & Grill in Atlantic City, NJ
This drink looks alarmingly like bay water but I promise it was delicious. Got to check out Sirens Bar & Grill for the first time, it's a little hidden gem! Right on the water and a chill vibe, two things not many AC bars have.
The best way to deal with a day that's unbearably hot thanks to NJ's oppressive humidity levels? The two most important B's in life: beach 🏖️ & beer 🍺. Add some friends to the mix and you're gold(cliff IPA)en.
Jetty Coquina Jam in LBI, NJ
Made it up to LBI for Jetty’s Coquina Jam! Got lucky with a perfect beach day, and finally got to try Jetty's pale ale (for the record: it's a great beach drink).
It's the end of an era — I'm officially leaving Philly. When I first moved to this house a year and a half ago, there was nothing across the street except an empty dirt lot. Since I've been there, there's an entire block of luxury condos, multiple breweries have popped up, and a little team of underdogs called the Philadelphia Eagles won the Superbowl. I think my work here is done. I'm on to a new chapter of my life, but don't worry — I'll bring my drinks (and you) along for the ride.
Don't worry be hoppy! I have Kona Brewing’s Hanalei hidden under this cute koozie to celebrate Sinead’s and Allie’s birthday extravaganza. What was supposed to be a festive summer pool party turned into a festive summer basement party because New Jersey's weather never wants to cooperate — but we made the most of it!
Ventnor Pier in Ventnor, NJ
Anyone who knows me knows that I sincerely dislike water. Since living off of coffee and beer isn't exactly healthy, to stay hydrated, I usually drink iced tea. Gold Peak is my favorite, and they made my summer with a generous gift box of tea and other fun stuff! Thank you so much to the Gold Peak team, cheers!
